Currently managing Progressive Consulting, Melissa has held key management roles with reputable New Zealand companies which saw her specialise in Human Resources and health and safety. 

Melissa can use her practical experience and knowledge to assist in developing and implementing human resource strategies.  She can also assist with recruitment and the selection process.

Melissa specialises in health and safety.  She is a competent auditor of health and safety systems and can assist with the development and implementation of health and safety management systems.  Melissa is a member of NZISM and HRINZ.

Melissa specialises in the agricultural sector previously owning and directing a dairy farm.

Therese is passionate about talent acquisition, people development and supporting businesses to implement effective systems, policies and procedures.

Therese grew up in North Otago and studied at Canterbury University and Christchurch College of Education. After her studies she did her first OE, returning to NZ to start a family. The second OE involved the whole family living and working in North Wales, followed by Tasmania, before returning to NZ and a career in HR.

Therese joined Progressive Consulting in November 2017 and has over 20 years experience working in a range of roles and industries including hospitality, retail management and education. Therese uses her experience and knowledge to assist businesses to develop and implement human resource strategies. She assists with recruitment and selection, and training and development.

Therese is the current Branch President of the local Human Resource Institute of New Zealand.

Jess joined the Progressive Consulting team and is based in the sunny Hawke's Bay with her family.  Jess has worked in senior HR roles for more than 10 years and understands the people side of a business from managing people and performance to implementing effective systems to manage compliance with legislation such as health and safety. Jess holds a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in HR Management and has a proven track record of supporting businesses with practical and effective solutions.

Stephen (Steve) has been working in the health and safety field for more than 30 years.

He has recently returned from Australia where he was consulting, lecturing, and mentoring health and safety managers from many of Australia's largest companies and government departments.

Steve holds a doctorate in hazard management from Federation University Australia and is regarded as a world leader in understanding zero harm workplaces. He successfully combines his broad experience in implementing safety programs with a practical, evidence-based appraoch.

Dr Young is committed to providing the most straightforward, and the most effective OHS solutions for New Zealand organisations.

Michelle recently joined Progressive Consulting in May 2017 and is based in the Hawkes Bay Region.

Michelle has approximately 10 years experience in Human Resources working in a variety of industries. She has spent the previous 4 years working as an HR practitioner in Healthcare, predominantly focusing on recuitment and employment relations. Michelle is looking forward to building relationships with our clients and supporting businesses with their HR needs.

Outside of work Michelle is also a qualified makeup artist and often has a creative project on the go.

Maggie Fea - HR Consultant

The Progressive Consulting team welcomed Maggie on board in 2016.  Hailing from Queenstown Maggie has worked in a variety of tourism and adventure roles, whilst completing an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Marketing and a Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resources at Otago University.  Maggie joins the team as a Human Resource Consultant, putting her research and communication skills to good use in assisting businesses to explore and negotiate solutions to all workplace challenges.

Outside of work Maggie can be found swanning around in sash and tiara after winning the New Zealand Rose of Tralee competition, or joining in with any team who will have her to play any sport on offer.  She loves to be on the slopes in winter and the lake in summer.

Nadia joined the Progressive Consulting team in June 2014.

Nadia has a strong administrative background with 8 years experience in various roles, 4 of those being administration experience in Human Resources where she has worked closely with the team to ensure client expectations are met.

Nadia is passionate about working with people and has a strong commitment to delivering on client expectations in recruitment services and enjoys working closely with clients to ensure these are met.

Outside of work Nadia enjoys travelling and is also a qualified hairdresser and often has creative projects for family and friends on the go.

Zac joined the Progressive Consulting team in 2018 as a graduate. Hailing originally from Christchurch he studied at Canterbury University. Zac holds an LLB, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics. He has completed his Legal Professionals and aims to be admitted in 2018.

Zac joins the team in the hopes of putting his hard working and approachable nature to good work.

Outside of work Zac enjoys sport and the outdoors, most recently playing quarterback for the American Football team in Canterbury. He also loves to play cricket and basketball among others. This has led to Zac being very driven and result orientated.

Alice Knight has joined the Progressive Consulting team after relocating from Nelson. She studied at Canterbury University, and completed her final semester studying abroad in the UK. Alice has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Geography, a Bachelor of Laws, and has completed her Legal Professionals to be admitted in 2018.

Alice hopes her open and approachable nature, as well as willingness to take on new challenges will set her up well in this role.

Sally joined the Progressive Consulting team in April 2018 as Client Services Manager. She has an extensive background in adminstration with over 30 years experience in various administrative roles, most recently as Executive Assistant for an employment law firm.

Sally will mainly be working remotely providing adminstrative support for Melissa Vining, the Progressive Consulting team, and clients but will be visiting our Invercargill office on a regular basis.

Dione relocated to Invercargill from the Waikato in early 2018 and has since joined the Progressive Consulting team as Client Services Coordinator. She has over 10 years administration experience in various roles, and holds a  Bachelor of Arts from Waikato University.

Out of the office Dione enjoys spending time with her young family, and is currently in the Oraka Aparima waka ama team.

Paula joined the Progressive Consulting team in August 2018.

Paula has a strong administrative background and is enjoying her return to the workforce after a number of years spent at home raising her family. Paula and her husband, Chris are sheep, beef and dairy farmers in Central Southland.

Paula enjoys being involved in an enthusiastic team focused on assisting clients and looks forwards to continuing the excellent level of service provided to all clients.

Outside of work Paula is kept busy with her four sons' activites and enjoys helping out on the farm when possible.
